Resources

Here’s my challenge: if someone is interested in learning more about a particular topic, what is one (and only one) book or resource that I’d recommend?  Here are my answers.  Be patient with me as I build this section.  I can’t answer this question flippantly!

Systematic Theology
Systematic Theology: An Introduction to Biblical Doctrine, by Wayne Grudem

Biblical Theology
According to Plan: The Unfolding Revelation of God in the Bible, by Graeme Goldsworthy

Questions about Christianity
The Reason for God: Belief in an Age of Skepticism, by Tim Keller

Ministry to the Poor
When Helping Hurts: Alleviating Poverty Without Hurting the Poor… and Yourself, by Brian Fikkert and Steve Corbett

Prayer/Spiritual Growth
A Praying Life: Connecting with God in a Distracting World, by Paul Miller
The Valley of Vision, edited by Arthur Bennett (I have to list two here… The Valley of Vision has proven to be one of the most important books I own.)

Introduction to Reformed Theology
Chosen by God, by R.C. Sproul

Are there any other topics that should be included in this list?
