SOS Academy // Choose901

This is my coworker and friend Marlon “Big Dog” Brown discussing the SOS Academy, a one-year urban internship. I love the SOS Academy, and I believe it’s a key element in raising up godly leaders and impacting low-income neighborhoods in Memphis and around the world.

If you don’t believe me, look at these crazy statistics:

Since launching in 2005, the SOS Academy has hosted 41 Interns. Of those 41 Interns, 60% still live in Memphis, and 100% of those that live in Memphis live or work in a low-income neighborhood.

This doesn’t even include all of the former SOS Academy Interns that are serving overseas or in low-income neighborhoods in cities other than Memphis.

Later this week, Choose901 will be highlighting other great opportunities to get involved in making Memphis look more like the city that is to come. Come be a part of what God is doing in Memphis.
